Upcoming Events
 Summer Tennis Camps
Children of all levels are welcome to join in the fun of
the Summer Pre-Academy Tennis Camps. If you don't know what
to do with the kids over the holidays, sign them up for a
fun week of tennis and other ball sports here at the Academy.
This Xmas holidays we will also be offering an optional Golf
component with Hope Island Resort's Head Golf Professional,
Peter Cote.
Dates :
Camp 1 : December 12th - 16th
Camp 2 : December 19th - 23rd
Camp 3 : January 2nd - 6th
Camp 4 : January 9th - 13th
Camp 5 : January 16th - 20th
Time : 9am - 3pm
Program :
09.00 - 12.00 : Tennis
12.00 - 1.30 : Lunch & movie (different DVD every
day)
1.30 - 3.00 : Sports Activities (basketball, soccer,
touch footy, frisbee & WATER FIGHTS)
Cost : $199 per week or $50 per day on a casual basis
Cost includes all of the above PLUS a Burger Bar lunch
at the Golf Club on the last Friday of each week
Optional :
3.00 - 5.00 : Free supervised activities
1.00 - 2.00 : Golf lesson daily (chipping, putting & driving)
(Golf lesson is $35 extra per week)

Ladder
Challenge Night
Date : January date TBC : 5.30pm - 8.30pm
All elite players welcome. During the evening, each
player will be required to play someone both above and below
them on the ladder. Matches will be
8 game pro-sets, and ladder positions will be updated based
on results.
Dinner is provided following the evening's tennis and parents
are welcome.
You don't need to be currently training at the Academy to
participate - all tournament level juniors are welcome !
Cost : FREE - for players training in Friday's
4pm-6.30pm Academy session
$10 - for players not training in Friday's 4pm-6.30pm Academy session
DINNER is included !

Boot Camp - January & February 2006
This is a tough-as-nails training camp
headed by Pat Cash & Cameron Liggett
to prepare for the upcoming events
following the Aussie Open. The program
has been
prepared by Pat Cash, based on Davis
Cup training formats.

Pizza & Matchplay
Date : every
Monday : 5pm-7pm
All Pre-Academy & Tournament Squad level juniors are
invited down for the weekly Pizza & Matchplay evening.
Ladder matches, singles and doubles, and …… PIZZA.
It’s a great opportunity for juniors to get in some
match practice, and good fun to chat with their team mates
over some tasty Pizza from Dominoes.

Pre-Academy
Junior Tennis Development Programs – Term 1, 2006
Date : Monday 23rd January – Saturday 8th
April
Tiny Tots : 3-6 years ( Session time 1 hour )
Hot Shots : 6-10 years ( Session time 1 hour )
Tournament Squad : 10 years & over
( Session Time 1hr or 1.5hour )
Academy Futures : 10 years & over
(Session time 2.5 hours)
Junior coaching available before and after school from
7am-8am and from 4pm onwards. Maximum of 6 juniors per
session.

ITN Rating Open Day
Date : Wednesday 8th February
Time : 4pm-9pm (but you can join in at any time)
Cost : FREE
What level are you ?
Come on down to the Academy and find out. Our courts will
be set up to run a series of tests to give you an official
ITN (International Tennis Number). Not only will this help
you match your game to players of similar ability, but you
are bound to meet some new practice partners on the afternoon/evening.
